What do these letters and numbers on a necklace mean?
My grandpa gave me a necklace and it has a little charm/pendant thing hanging on. (A lightening shaped one that is silver in color with a small clear stone-- a diamond?-- in the center. There a numbers carved on the side of the charm. Can anyone tell me what they might mean?
On one side: G18K FDA
On the other side: D0.051 ct (Might say 00.051 ct, can't see too well)
Then on one of the hooks on the chain it says AJ 8750.
G18K is the gold
00.051 is the carat of the stone.
AJ 8750 is probably a serial number.
I might be wrong, I'm no jeweler. If you really want to know you should take it to a jewelry store and they should be able to tell you what all of that means.
