for anyone serving in military: I cant watch the scene in full metal jacket where lee emery is screaming about
mary and jesus without laughing until im choking and in pain. if I did this in real life, how bad would I get it, especially being a new recruit? would the fact it would never have been out of disrespect but because I couldn't help laughing make a difference??-:)
Guess that depends on your drill instructor.
But I can't imagine any of them letting you slide if you laugh.
Or even crack a smile for that matter.
And it doesn't matter if it's intended to be disrespectful or not, it still comes across that way.
Be prepared for paying for it if you do let a laugh slip!
